The Israeli
Law Professors' Forum
for Democracy
About the Forum
The Israeli Law Professors’ Forum for Democracy is a voluntary, professional, non-partisan, and non-factional organization, comprising over 150 law lecturers and professors from all law faculties across Israel.
The Forum is dedicated to defending the core values of liberal democracy in Israel: the rule of law, separation of powers, public accountability of elected officials, fair elections, and the protection of fundamental rights — including freedom of expression and the right to equality.
Through its various activities, the Forum emphasizes the need to strengthen the status, independence, and professionalism of the judiciary, gatekeeping institutions, and the civil service as a whole. It works to raise public and policymaker awareness of the significance of these principles and strives to counter the ongoing assault on the democratic and liberal character of the State of Israel.
